Sept. 17-Nov. 12, 2015 (No class Oct. 22)
Movie Makers Studios, Durham
Instructor: J Chachula
For those of you who have the flexibility to take a class during the daylight hours, Flying Machine is excited to offer our popular improv class while the rest of the world is chained behind a desk.
It’s not about telling jokes or being clever, but about learning to trust your impulses and creating cooperatively. Students move beyond the basics into more traditional improvised scene work, although that work is deeper and more truthful than what you'll see on most improv stages.
The class is also appropriate for artists of other disciplines, and even non-performers (such as writers) or anyone who has the desire to have some fun, break out of a rut and acquire some useful skills.
As in all Flying Machine classes, you can expect a fun, challenging, positive, and supportive atmosphere.
Class size is capped at 12 students.
